University Women's Club Scholarships
Established in 1922, the University Women’s Club (UWC) is an organization comprised of University of Florida faculty, staff, and other women who actively support the mission and goals of the Club (www.universitywomensclub.ufl.edu). From its Endowment Fund, the Club has for many years awarded scholarships to deserving women and men in honor of the wives of past presidents of the University of Florida, as well as the wives of a few former distinguished campus leaders.
These women served the University during their husband’s careers at the University of Florida and their service has been recognized by the University Women’s Club through scholarships awarded in the spring. In celebration of its 100 years of existence and service to the University the University Women’s Club, beginning in the spring of 2022, will award five $5,000 scholarships each to exceptional undergraduate students.
Scholarship Requirements:
To be considered for a 2024 UWC Scholarship, applicants must comply with all the following requirements:
- Have a minimum 3.6 GPA.
- Be enrolled as a full-time undergraduate student in the 3rd or 4th year of your program.
- Be in good academic and disciplinary standing with the University with no repeated violations of the University Code of Student Conduct.
- Provide demonstrated service to the university and/or community.
Please ensure you complete the following:
- Completed Scholarship Application (See Form below)
- One letter of recommendation from a UF faculty or Staff member who has worked with you directly. This can be turned in electronically via the reference web form or a sealed letter to the Office of the Vice President for Student Life, in 135 Tigert Hall. (The letter should be limited to one page).
Note: The Office of the Vice President for Student Life will add a copy of each applicant’s unofficial transcript to their packet.
Incomplete application packets will not be considered.
