Dear Students,

You are almost there! As classes and reading days wrap up for the fall semester, I want to take this opportunity to wish you success on your finals and remind you that you are incredibly talented and capable!

This semester, you have truly shined as you have overcome so much and faced challenges directly to make it to this milestone. I hope you can take some time to pause and bask in your accomplishments (and yes, making it to December is a monumental achievement that deserves celebration).

I encourage you also to reach out to your friends and classmates to share some words of encouragement. A simple text to someone you have not spoken with or seen recently, can have a big impact and brighten someone’s day. One little kindness can help your light shine for yourself and others!

In addition to studying for finals, you may be in the process of making travel plans. Now is a critical time to be mindful of your actions and how to help keep those you love healthy and safe.

There is still time to schedule a free COVID test at One.UF.edu before leaving Gainesville. It typically takes no more than 72 hours to get results.
If you need the results of a test to board an airplane or meet international travel requirements, please be sure to review your travel documents closely to determine whether a saliva test will meet your needs and in the timeframe you require. It is important to note, that while most results are available within 24 hours, it cannot be guaranteed. If you require a specific kind of testing for travel documentation, please schedule a test with your medical provider who can order the appropriate test(s) for you.
