New Student Convocation is the University of Florida’s official welcome for all first-year students. As the one and only time the incoming class will convene, this event celebrates the UF Class of 2025’s entry into higher education and inducts them into a community of learners. New Student Convocation invites students to fully embrace their student experience and understand the expectations that come with being a Gator. In learning more about the university, our first-year students will create their unique identity as a class and see how they can make a positive impact on the world as a member of the Gator Nation. As part of this year’s event our new students will receive the official class pin of the UF Class of 2025 to show the world they are now Gators.

› Attendance at New Student Convocation is required of summer B & fall first-year students.
› Students will be seated by college for the ceremony.
› Family members are welcome to attend and special seating arrangements will be provided.
› University of Florida faculty, staff and others will address the UF Class of 2025.
› Parking is available at the O’Connell Center in Garage 7 and the North Lot’s orange and green decal spaces. Overflow parking is also available on Gale Lemerand Drive in the Commuter Lot and Garage 5.
